Wayne Wachell co-founded Genus Capital Management in 1989 and serves as the firm\u2019s Chief Investment Officer. He oversees Genus\u2019 equity research and investment strategy and co-manages both equity and fixed-income portfolios.<\/div>

A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) since 1985, Wayne holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (1977) and an M.B.A. (1980) from the University of Alberta. He began his investment career at the Alberta Treasury in 1978 as an investment analyst, later becoming a partner and fixed income and equity portfolio manager at M.K. Wong & Associates. Before founding Genus, he also managed fixed-income portfolios at TELUS (formerly Alberta Government Telephone).<\/div>
