Kathryn Wortsman is the Founder & Managing Partner of Amplify Capital, a Canadian-based impact venture fund focused on early-stage technology companies solving for climate sustainability, improved education, and better health.
Kathryn has spent most of her career investing and managing venture and private equity in New York and Toronto. As the Founder of Social Venture Partners in Toronto in 2008, Kathryn was early to build the venture philanthropy model in Canada’s largest city.
Today, Kathryn leads the team of 7 covering two funds and is active across the portfolio of 17 investments. Kathryn holds a BA, Economics from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from Columbia University in New York.
