Genus Appoints New Bond Manager AlphaFixe

Genus Capital Management is pleased to announce that effective December 1, 2020, we have appointed a new bond manager, AlphaFixe, for our Strategic Bonds, Government Bonds, Fossil Free Corporate Bonds, and Short Term Corporate Bonds.

AlphaFixe will continue our current mandates, expand into green bonds (bonds that provide financing for projects that offer environmental solutions towards a low carbon economy) and potentially bank loans and preferreds. AlphaFixe is strong and unique in the sustainable investing space and has been operating since 2008.
Addenda Capital Inc. will continue to manage our Commercial Mortgage Fund.

Like Genus, AlphaFixe are signatories to the UN Principles of Responsible Investments https://www.unpri.org/. AlphaFixe’s bond strategies are free of fossil fuel reserves and the firm has a very thorough ESG integration process including their own research on individual companies. We believe this partnership will further strengthen our sustainable and impact offerings with enhanced value alignment.
